The Airline Transport Pilot License program at Airways is conducted in modular form. This means that you may divide your training over a longer period, or add modules as you go along. It also means that you may add modules to an existing set of licenses and ratings with us, regardless of your previous training location.
MODULE 1 - The first step is to obtain a Private Pilots License (PPL) with night qualification (NQ). This is conducted under VFR (Visual Flight Rules) conditions and requires at least 50 hours flight training including 5 hours of night flying.
MODULE 2 - The next step is to gather flight hours and experience. You will complete 60-80 hours of flight time on your own under your PPL license. This portion may be accomplished through Airways or a local flying club. You will have continuous updates with a flight instructor to ensure that your training meets its intended purposes.
